We have been working with LPC Design + Print (formerly Largs Printing Company) for over 10 years now, and are delighted to recommend them to you.

Amongst other projects, each year LPC Design + Print helps Timberbooks to design and print the West Kilbride & Thereabouts Calendar.

The company is just celebrating its 50th Anniversary as a family-run business!

Music in West Kilbride

Music in West Kilbride was formed in 1986 (as West Kilbride Music Club)

with the aim of providing professional concerts in North Ayrshire of the same high quality as those in Glasgow.

MiWK also encourages musical understanding and development, with many performers who visit for concerts also running musical workshops in local schools.

Appreciating the support of others:

St Bride's Roman Catholic Church, West Kibride

West Kilbride Parish extends more or less half way to Ardrossan, half way to Dalry and part of the way to Largs, taking in part of Fairlie and also the Cumbraes. The church is named after St. Bride, Kilbride meaning cell or church of Bride. Legend has it that St. Bride landed on the shore near West Kilbride in 500 A.D. and established a church.

The current parish priest is Father Joe Boland who took up his position at St Bride's in October 2009.

Learning from local crafters:

Tom McEwan, Bookbinder

Timberbooks is delighted to introduce you to Tom McEwan.  Tom is an award-winning design bookbinder based in the west of Scotland.  

A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Tom draws on his Fine Art background to create beautifully bold designs which, along with a high level of technical expertise, combine to produce fine bindings of exceptional quality in his own distinctive style.  

As well as working on commissioned and competition design bindings, Tom produces a range of bookbinding finishing tools and holds workshops at his bindery in Irvine, Scotland and other venues throughout the UK.

Tom was elected Fellow of Designer Bookbinders in 2014.

The Society's aims are to stimulate interest in the character, history and attractions of the West Kilbride, Seamill and Portencross area and to encourage the preservation,  development and improvement of features of amenity and historic interest.

WKCS is a charitable organization and one of the oldest continuously functioning voluntary civic organisations in West Kilbride.
